Privacy Notice
At Confident Career and Life Coaching, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), we value the privacy of individuals who use our website and related services (collectively, our "Services"). This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, and share personal information of users of our Services ("users," "you," or "your"). By using our Services, you agree to the collection, use, disclosure, and processing of your information as described in this Privacy Notice.
Personal information is information that identifies or could be used to identify a specific person. Personal information does not include deidentified information (anonymized or pseudonymized) or aggregated information derived from personal information.
We may collect a variety of personal information and other information about you or your devices from various sources, as described below.
Information You Provide to Us
Registration Information. If you register for our Services, including the Rising and Rooted program, or sign up for emails or other updates, we may ask for basic contact information such as your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
Racial or Ethnic Information. Rising and Rooted is a program designed for women of color. We do not require or collect racial or ethnic data as part of registration; eligibility is based on self-selection by the individual registering, not on any verified demographic data field we collect.
Communications. If you contact us directly, we may collect additional information from you, such as your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, or other contact information, so that we can verify your identity and communicate with you. We may also store the contents of any message or attachments you send us, as well as information you submit through any forms or questionnaires.
Registration Forms & Agreements. If you register for a program, we may collect information through our registration form (Cognito Forms) and, where applicable, an electronically signed Client Coaching Agreement (Adobe Sign).
Payment Information. If you make a purchase through our Services, our third-party payment processor, Stripe, collects your payment-related information, such as credit card or other financial information. We do not store your full payment card details ourselves.
Shipping Information. If you register for a program that includes a physical item, such as the Rising and Rooted Founding Cohort Welcome Kit, we collect your mailing address to fulfill that shipment.
Job Applications. If you apply to work with us, including as a contractor, we may collect relevant information such as your name, phone number, email address, position, job history, education history, references, a cover letter, and other similar information.
Data Minimization. We do not knowingly collect information beyond what is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice.
Information We Collect Automatically When You Use Our Services
Device Information. We may collect information about the devices and software you use to access our Services, such as your IP address, web browser type, operating system version, device identifiers, and other similar information.
Usage Information. To help us understand how you use our Services and to help us improve them, we may collect data about your interactions with our Services, including crash reports, session lengths and times, the specific pages and content you view, and any searches you conduct on our site.
Cookies and Similar Technologies. We and our third-party partners may collect information using cookies, pixel tags, or similar technologies. We may use both session cookies (which disappear after you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain after you close your browser and may be used on subsequent visits).
Information We Receive from Other Sources
We may receive information about you from other sources, including third parties that help us update, expand, and analyze our records, identify new clients, or detect or prevent fraud. What information we receive from third parties is governed by the privacy settings, policies, and procedures of the relevant organizations, and we encourage you to review them.
How We Use the Information We Collect
● To provide, maintain, improve, and enhance our Services, including our coaching programs and Rising and Rooted;
● To process registrations, payments, and program enrollment;
● To ship program materials, such as the Rising and Rooted Founding Cohort Welcome Kit;
● To understand and analyze how you use our Services and develop new offerings;
● To evaluate and process applications for work with us, including contractor roles;
● To communicate with you, provide updates, respond to comments and questions, and otherwise provide support;
● For marketing and advertising purposes, including developing promotional materials that may be relevant to you;
● To detect and prevent fraud, and respond to trust and safety issues that may arise;
● For compliance purposes, including enforcing our Terms of Service or other legal rights, or as required by applicable law; and
● For other purposes for which we provide specific notice at the time information is collected.
How We Share the Information We Collect
Service Providers. We share information with service providers who help us operate our business, each bound by their own privacy and security obligations, including:
● Stripe (payment processing)
● Cognito Forms (program registration)
● Adobe Sign (agreement execution)
● Zoom (live virtual sessions)
● MailerLite, or direct email from our own address (email communications and updates)
● USPS (shipment of program materials, such as the Welcome Kit)
Our Representatives. We may share your information with individuals working on our behalf, such as contractors, as needed to provide our Services, and subject to confidentiality obligations.
Other Users. If our Services allow you to share content publicly, such as comments or posts, that content may be displayed to other users.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. We do not currently use Meta, LinkedIn, or Microsoft advertising or tracking tools. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Notice accordingly.

As Required by Law. We may access, preserve, and disclose your information if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to comply with legal process, respond to your requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of you, us, or others.
Business Transfers. We may transfer your information in connection with the consideration, negotiation, or completion of a merger, acquisition, or sale of some or all of our assets. Your information would continue to be governed by this Privacy Notice or its successor.
With Your Consent. We may also disclose your information with your permission.
Your Choices
Our Communications. You can unsubscribe from our promotional and informational emails using the link provided in those emails. You may still receive administrative messages necessary to service your account or registration.
Cookies. Most web browsers allow you to manage cookies through your browser settings. You can learn more at www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.
Our Advertising Partners. We currently use only Google Analytics. You can learn about your options for managing how Google uses your information on Google's privacy page, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Third-Party Content
Our Services may contain links to other websites, products, or services that we do not own or operate. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these third parties. This Privacy Notice does not apply to your activities on third-party services, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with information.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Our general retention practices are:
● Registration and payment records: retained for the duration of the applicable program, plus a reasonable period afterward to support recordkeeping, accounting, and tax obligations.
● Email and marketing communications: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
● Website usage and analytics data: retained according to the default retention settings of our analytics provider.
● Job applications: retained for the duration of the hiring process, plus a reasonable period afterward, unless you request earlier deletion.
When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
Security
We make reasonable efforts to protect your information using administrative, technological, and physical safeguards designed to reduce the risk of accidental loss, unauthorized access or use, or other inappropriate or unlawful processing. No information system can be guaranteed 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
Children's Privacy
Our Services, including Rising and Rooted, are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. Our Services are not directed to anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use information from individuals under 18. International Visitors
Our Services are hosted in the United States and intended for use by individuals located within the United States. If you use our Services from outside the United States, please note that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using our Services, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing as described in this Privacy Notice.
Changes to This Privacy Notice
