The Tommie Novella Pettit Memorial Rooted in Care Drive
As food, gas, and everyday living expenses continue to rise, more of our neighbors are feeling the strain, especially those who are unsheltered or facing financial hardship.
This is an ongoing effort, not a one-time seasonal drive, to help meet that need. We're collecting funds to purchase new socks, gloves, and blankets for unsheltered neighbors here in Central Texas, in loving memory of Tommie Novella Pettit, my grandmother.
How You Can Help
💛 Give directly — Net funds received, after any payment-processing fees, will be used to purchase and distribute socks, gloves, and blankets to our unsheltered neighbors throughout Central Texas.
This drive accepts monetary donations only, no physical item drop-off is available at this time.

Rooted in Care is a community support initiative of Confident Career and Life Coaching, LLC. CCLC is not a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
Payments and donated items provided through this drive are not tax-deductible charitable contributions. No goods or services are being provided in exchange for a payment.
Net funds received through the Stripe payment page, after any payment-processing fees, will be used for the stated drive purpose; purchasing and distributing new socks, gloves, and blankets to unsheltered neighbors in Central Texas.
Actual quantities may vary based on supplier pricing, taxes, shipping, order size, and seasonal availability. If circumstances require, funds may be used among the listed supplies to best fulfill the drive's purpose.
CCLC will maintain records of funds and items received.
Distribution takes place monthly, and each donor will receive a thank-you card along with information about who benefited from their donation.
